Cutthroat Kelly is a rock and roll band from Sydney’s inner west. This page explains what we collect through cutthroatkelly.com, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because we keep very little.

What we collect

If you use the contact form. Your name, email address, the topic you pick (booking, press or something else) and your message. We use them to read and answer you. That’s it.

If you join our mailing list. Your email address. We use it to send the odd email about gigs and releases. Reply to any of them to leave, and we’ll take you off straight away.

If you left your address on our Coming Soon page. We send you one email when the site goes live and then delete it.

Each message or sign-up is also emailed to a band member so nothing gets missed.

Nothing else. The site doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t build profiles of visitors. Like any website, our host’s servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security. To stop spam, the site keeps a scrambled (one-way) version of the internet address used to send a form, never the address itself.

Who helps us

  • Hostinger hosts the website. Contact-form messages and mailing-list sign-ups are stored in the website’s database there.

Some of these services store data outside Australia. We only use them for the purposes above, and we never sell or share your details with anyone else.

Links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, triple j Unearthed, Bandcamp, Instagram, Facebook and our merch store take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept while they’re useful for answering you or following up a booking, and deleted after two years at most. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or unsubscribe from the list, at any time. Use the contact form (pick “Something else”) and we’ll sort it out.
