Cutthroat Kelly are a rock and roll band from Sydney’s inner west: loose, loud, hand-made, written to be played in a room with people in it. Eight releases since 2021, including the album Greta and the single Saint Sydenham, and a run of pub and back-room bills across Newtown, Sydenham and Petersham.

Long

Cutthroat Kelly are a rock and roll band from Sydney’s inner west. Newtown, Sydenham, Petersham — the pubs and the back rooms rather than the big stages, at least so far.

Since 2021 they’ve put out eight releases: an EP (Howlin’ Howlin’ Howlin’), an album (Greta), and singles including 4am, Sucked In and Saint Sydenham. It’s loose, loud, hand-made rock — written to be played in a room with people in it, and recorded so it still sounds that way.

They play Sydney venues like Bootleggers @ Kelly’s On King and Vic on the Park, usually somewhere on a bill with the bands they came up alongside.
